Meet Jeff and Amy Bysterveldt of Winterbay Farm in Bedford, PEI - our next behind the barn feature!
Farming alongside Jeff’s parents, John and Janet, and their kids, Ava, and Calvin, they continue a legacy that started with Jeff’s great-grandparents who immigrated from the Netherlands after WWII. Today, they're milking 115 cows with a focus on sustainable, high-quality dairy production. Their favourite part of farming? Caring for their cows and land while creating opportunities for the next generation.
Fun fact: Winterbay Farm switched to a fully dairy operation in the '90s and now uses a robotic milking system for efficiency and care.
